Our Community Connections
Campassion believes service is more meaningful when children understand the people and organizations behind it.
Before campers take action, they learn — about the need, the organization, and the people their work will reach. This is what makes Campassion different: children don't just do service, they understand it.
Over the years, Campassion has connected with many community and nonprofit organizations, as well as collaborators who have brought enrichment and programming to our campers. The organizations below represent some of the communities, causes, and people that Campassion children have learned from, supported, and connected with through programming.
Organizations We Learn About & Support Through Service
These are organizations connected to Campassion's actual service-learning work. Campassion campers have learned about each of these causes and taken action in support of them.
FosterLove
Campassion campers have created Sweet Cases for FosterLove — carefully assembled bags filled with comfort items for children in foster care. Before creating them, campers learn about the foster care system and the children these cases are meant to support.
Hope & Comfort
Campassion has supported Hope & Comfort through donation efforts, helping to provide hygiene products to those in need.
Birthday Wishes
Campassion has supported Birthday Wishes through donation efforts and Birthday-in-a-Box projects, helping to bring birthday celebrations to children living in homeless shelters.
Harvest on Vine
Campassion has supported Harvest on Vine through donation efforts as part of its service programming.
Charlestown Community Closet
Campassion has supported the Charlestown Community Closet through donation efforts, helping to provide clothing and essentials to community members in need.
NEW Health
Campassion has connected with NEW Health through food-related service projects and learning experiences, including experiences connected to its community food resources. Campers learn about food insecurity before participating in related service activities.
Blankets of Hope
Campassion campers have created Blankets of Hope as part of service programming, learning about the need behind the project before getting to work. Campers assemble blankets and write cards of encouragement before donating them to Pine Street Inn and Rosie's Place.
Campassion Collaborators & Enrichment
These organizations and instructors have provided programming, movement, wellness, instruction, or enrichment experiences for Campassion campers.
Boston Budo
