Exercise

Exercise at Campassion

Exercise. It's a habit that we as adults have trouble cultivating. Fortunately for our children, they have the opportunity to be physically active during and after school.

As one might guess, the benefits of exercise are exponential for child development. We know that kids who exercise regularly develop stronger muscles and bones, sleep better, and improve feelings of optimism and happiness. We even know that fit kids are better able to handle physical and emotional troubles, like preparing for a test.

At Campassion, we will engage in exercise activities twice a day: in the morning and in the afternoon during our recess time.

In addition, we are so fortunate enough to be welcomed by Jennifer Phelan of JPPilates at her amazing HIIT workouts at the Bunker Hill Monument. In addition to recess activities, kids will engage in activities like cardio workouts, soccer, yoga, and pilates.
